Bio
Lindsay Young teaches for the Los Angeles Unified School District, providing intensive reading intervention to students who receive special education services. Young is a doctoral candidate at University of Florida. She has presented nationally on literacy and classroom management topics and is the author of several activity books for teachers including Help Your Students Meet and Exceed Your State Standards for Reading (Grades 6-12), Directed Reading and Thinking Activities, and Plays on Words. She is a co-designer of WordBuilder Intervention. Young has been featured on The Teaching Channel, and in 2015 the California League of High Schools named her an Educator of the Year.
