New on Teachers Pay Teachers. Plays on Words is a book of one-page, “mad-lib” style vocabulary skits with an emphasis on developing oral language and high frequency vocabulary. The plays are designed to give students lots of repetition of new vocabulary in an engaging, interactive format unique to Plays on Words.
